Don't say you weren't warned!

Not many of you are old enough to remember the decor of the 70's and 80's but, trust me, it was a confusing time.  Disco was on the way out and middle-class sophistication hadn't quite shown up.

As home decor changed, commercial designs were also going through a transition.  Decorators needed a wallcovering to hide ugly, damaged, or pseudo-wood paneled walls and the answer was  grasscloth.  Durable and versatile, it quickly became a staple in commercial design and gradually found its way to residential decor.

And, like many viruses, it's back.

This is SO wrong on so many levels.

The greatest challenge in using grasscloth is not having your surroundings resemble a doctor's waiting room.  Consider your overall scheme before investing in grasscloth.   While it's not a permanent wall treatment, it is an expensive one.  But, so dang easy to hang!
