You're right - I've gone almost an entire week without posting repurposing projects.  Let's rectify that situation:

Ikea
Vintage display cabinets and reproduction pie safes are charming
when used in small bathrooms that don't have a linen closet.

Montana Wildlife Gardener
LOVE this idea for a garden gate!

 Wilson & Pugs

How clever is this wine rack created out of a discarded pallet?

Source
Yes, those are old VHS cassette cases.  You can use
the inside of the case to store photos, too.

Apartment Therapy
Precious idea!  Old globes are a little hard to find at thrift shops
and, often when you do find one, they're damaged or not in great
shape.  Divide one into hemispheres and make hanging lamps.

 The Scarlet Petticoat
Not only was this vintage suitcase turned into a picnic basket,
it was lined with old flannel shirts found at a thrift shop!

DIY Newlyweds
Goodwill sweaters make great throw pillows.
Isn't this argyle pattern darling?

Bleak 2 Unique
I like this metal framed clock better as a mirror, don't you?

Beautiful Clutter
Stacked vintage suitcases make a quaint bedside table.

This entire horse sculpture was made from discarded
computer keyboards.  At least they're not in a landfill!

Check out this imaginative Halloween wreath.
It's made from scrunched up newspapers!
It's a Fabulous Life

 Life As a Thrifter
Simple.  Simple.  Simple.  Tie old canning jar lids together with
a piece of burlap and insert cinnamon sticks - instant pumpkin!

I hope these repurposing ideas inspire you to reuse every
day items in your house for something imaginative.

  1. Can you imagine how long it took to make the key horse??? The flannel pockets in the picnic suitcase are adorable. The gate is my favorite!

  2. Haha! Love the key horse -- my husband and I having made our livings by the written word for all our lives, I'd love to have something like this. Love the pumpkin, too. Adorable.
And thanks for visiting, and following, That Old House!
I'm so glad you came by, and I'm now your newest follower, too.
