Today's Repurposeful Monday ideas are adorable.
And completely 'do-able' for those with little
jewelry making experience.

Referred to as Mixed Media Collage Jewelry
these pieces are composed of vintage pieces,
household objects and collectibles.

This use of collectibles will undoubtedly become collectibles themselves!

Though fashionable, these bracelets must weigh a ton.

Small vintage objects can be challenging to display
so consider repurposing them into unique pieces.

I adore this vintage-inspired choker but
the red dyed rabbit foot is kind of icky:

While most of us today would consider a rabbit foot as Politically Incorrect, it was a staple in the trinket box of just about every American teenager in the 1950s.  The feet were dyed in primary colors and represented luck and prosperity.   Didn't seem to work out for the rabbit, did it?  As you can see from today's photos, just about any kind of small trinket can be included in mixed media jewelry.

  1. I love vintage the best because my metal allergy doesn't kick in. Especially pieces prior 1950s.
    Lovely pieces here, thank you.

  2. I have an old spoon necklace. It was made by a young Japanese girl who was learning her craft at our local Blacksmiths in Sussex. She engraved delicate flowers and signed it. She has now returned to Japan, so I feel very lucky to have it. Jean x
